Magpie Robin

Bangla name 'Doyel' - a common bird of Bengal. It can be seen in the backyard
and on low branches of trees. It looks like Wagtail, but its tail
always remains upward. Black from head to upper portion of the tail,
from belly to the lower parts of tail - white. The bird has white mark
on wings. The female bird is not black, but brownish.
When summer comes, a fine
tune occupy its voice and the bird use to sing with the rhythmic
movement of tails.

Small insects and ripe fruits - their food.

They use to build their nests just before monsoon. One can see their
nests on trees, in the gap of pipes and lamp-posts.
The scientific name of Doyel/Magpie Robin is Copsychus saularis. --
